Arivaca Lake is a small lake located South of Tucson, Arizona. The Lake is 90 acres with an average depth of 15 feet, and a maximum depth of 40 feet. The lake is fed by two small creeks that flow seasonally. The lake is home to Largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish, and Sunfish. The lake is located pretty close to the border of Mexico, meaning many anglers fish here that travel in and out of Mexico. Arivaca experienced a massive fish kill in the mid- 1990's and had to be restocked, today Channel Catfish and Largemouth Bass are the prime catches at Arivaca. Arivaca lake is very beautiful year round, despite being located in the desert groves of cottonwood and oaks grow nearby.
Anglers fishing Arivaca have reported that Worms, and Stink bait work well for catching Channel Catfish. With Jigs, and Rapala top water lures working good for Largemouth Bass, as well as Sunfish.
