Arizona currently supports some of the most integrated ecosystems for warm water fish in the country. Arizona's thriving lakes, and rivers give fish the advantage and the anglers fishing for them a good fight.
Warm water species are abound in Arizona, some of the richest and most sustainable habitats for warm water fish are found in our lakes and rivers. This year alone a world record sunfish was caught over in lake Havasu, with countless other weighing in at record numbers. Lake Roosevelt received a large stocking of Florida strain Largemouth Bass and are expected to bring anglers countless memories over the coming decades. Catfish are found in nearly every climate phase of our state as they are very adaptable to very warm and cold water. Arizona is a haven for warm water fish, but why should I say this, go out and enjoy for yourself on one of our many lakes and rivers.
