The lake is home to Rainbow Trout, Bass, Catfish, Sunfish, and Bullfrogs. The area is beautiful and has many activities for the whole family including Horseback riding, hiking, and fishing. The best bets for fishing are worms, Powerbait, jigs, artificial flies, and Powerbait. The lake is one of the more popular lakes in the area so weekday fishing is recommended especially if you want to launch your boat. All the lakes in this area including lynx serve to provide water for downstream communities. The lake is located at about 5,270 feet in elevation meaning winter temperatures are cold and summer temperature are very warm.
Update: Lynx Lake has a very low water level this year, however shore anglers are still catching a good variety of fish. Many anglers are having success catching stocked Brown trout, using flies, and Powerbait, while others are having a fun time catching the very feisty and tasty Common Carp!
