McQueen Pond

Acreage: 2
Depth: 10 feet
Species: Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Mirror Carp, Koi, Sunfish, Channel Catfish.
Water Type: Warm
McQueen Pond was just recently added to the Community Fishing program. The Pond is 2 acres with an average depth of 10 feet. The pond is home to Rainbow trout, Channel Catfish, Mirror Carp, Koi, Sunfish, Largemouth Bass, and White Amur. The pond is hidden far back from the main road which is why the fishing pressure is so minimal. Fishing this lake is easy, the fish will basically bite on anything presented. I recommend worms, hotdogs, and corn. The area is not angler friendly with little shade and no marked paths. However, the fishing easily makes up for this. This lake gets deep fast so falling in is not recommended. There is no underwater cover in the lake which means that snagging will be very unlikely. If you are planning to fish this lake it is recommended that you have heavier tackle. There are some really big Channel Catfish and Mirror Carp in this lake one of which snapped my flimsy Trout tackle.
Update: McQueen Pond is now officially apart of the Community Fishing Program. Trout and Catfish will be stocked twice a year into the pond. There are still however large populations of Carp, and Sunfish in the lake.
